Fashionista rides private plane home to avoid spreading coronavirus

“King of Vietnam’s hi-end fashion” Jonathan Hanh Nguyen decided to hire a private jet to bring his rich kid with coronavirus home from London.

While Hanoi’s first coronavirus patient Nguyen Hong Nhung and several other patients headed to the capital on a Vietnam Airlines’ luxury business class on March 2, Nguyen Hong Thao Tien, daughter of the “king of Vietnam’s hi-end fashion” Jonathan Hanh Nguyen was sent home from London in a private jet.

Her family decided to hire a private plane to bring her home upon hearing news about Nhung’s health condition in Hanoi on on march 7. Tien Nguyen told netizens that she decided to return home on a private plane to avoid spreading the virus to the community.

 She went straight to a makeshift coronavirus hospital in Ho Chi Minh City’s Cu Chi District upon arrival on March 9th in a separate car. She was later transferred to Ho Chi Minh City Tropical Diseases Hospital on the same day.

The celebrity’s father decided to spend $360,000 to bring her home in a private jet to comply with Vietnam’s coronavirus quarantine regulations. Data shows that the aircraft bringing Tien back to Vietnam is part of the Falcon 8x series.

Her wealthy father’s IPP Group distributes products of luxury fashion brands including Chanel, Rolex, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Levis. He also operates franchised fast-food brands including Burger King, Popeyes Chicken, Domino's Pizza, Dunkin 'Donuts and Illy Café.

Beside, he is also the owner of a chain of duty-free shops at airports.

Born into a family that leads local fashion industry, fashionista on social networks Tien Nguyen and her mother Le Hong Thuy Tien are familiar guests of international fashion shows.

Media representative of Tang Thanh Ha, an artist and daughter-in-law of Thao Tien told Thanh Nien newspaper that the father decided to hire a private jet to bring her home. It is not because of being rich, he want to prevent coronavirus spreads to the community if she came home on a commercial plane.
