Ba Ria-Vung Tau motorway and Ring 4 construction cost over $53 million

The Ba Ria-Vung Tau province planned to spend VND1,250 billion ($53 million) for the motorway that would connect Bien Hoa to Ring Road 4 of Ho Chi Minh City.

The People's Council of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, term VII, in the 11th session, on December 10, passed a resolution endorsing the public investment plan in 2023, which details its contents.

The province decided to set aside VND1,250 billion ($53 million) for ground clearing and compensation for Ring Road 4 in Ho Chi Minh City, the segment that passes through the neighborhood ($32 million), and the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau highway ($21 million).

The Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway (phase 1) is 53.7 km long, has 4-6 lanes, requires a total expenditure of more than VND17,800 billion ($760 million), and is expected to be completed in 2025.

The 19.5 km long portion from Ba Ria to Vung Tau has an investment cost of more than VND5,190 billion ($221 million), of which site clearing would cost around VND1,333 billion (56.8 million). The locality has committed to providing 50% of the capital, or about VND670 billion ($28.5 million).
