Vietnam leads Southeast Asia in overseas travel search traffic growth

The statistic was calculated based on consumers' interest in and searches for airline tickets and lodging on Google Search.
Demand from the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore increased consistently from more than 50% to more than 100% each quarter.
Up to 65% of Vietnamese people's search traffic targeted Southeast Asian locations.
Outside the area, the top destinations for Vietnamese visitors are Australia, Japan, India, and the United States.
Southeast Asian destinations are likewise becoming more popular with Western travelers. Kupang (Indonesia), Mersing (Malaysia), Bang Sak (Thailand), SantaFe (the Philippines), and Quy Nhon (Vietnam) are the five most common beach names.
Tourists are especially interested in learning about culture, tradition, and history at Bukittinggi (Indonesia), Tawau (Malaysia), Ban Saeo (Thailand), San Fernando (the Philippines), and Vinh (Vietnam).
According to Google Search, the most popular tourist places with stunning landscape are Lembang (Indonesia), Bentong (Malaysia), Na Suan (Thailand), and Ha Long (Vietnam).
