Galaxy Play wins big at Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Awards 2026, reinforcing Vietnam’s OTT position

Galaxy Play JSC has been honored at the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards 2026 with two prestigious wins: OTT Platform - Vietnam and Series Production - Vietnam for its original series Vợ Hiền Mới Ác. This also marks the fourth consecutive year Galaxy Play has been recognized at the regional awards. 

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards is an annual program recognizing outstanding players across broadcasting, television, digital content, and OTT platforms in the Asia-Pacific region. Galaxy Play’s continued recognition reflects its growing impact on Vietnam’s online entertainment landscape, particularly in exclusive drama series production and premium digital viewing experiences. 

Vợ Hiền Mới Ác, Galaxy Play’s latest exclusive psychological drama series, explores themes of marriage, betrayal, and revenge through a modern lens. With its emotionally compelling storytelling and intense dramatic twists, the series quickly surpassed 200 million views within just one month of release. 

Galaxy Play’s content ecosystem is built to serve the diverse entertainment preferences of Vietnamese families, offering a broad range of genres for different audiences. Most recently, the platform launched Cuốc Xe Âm Phủ, an exclusive horror-thriller series featuring a cast beloved by audiences from major productions such as Mưa Đỏ and Địa Đạo. Galaxy Play is also preparing to begin production on two new projects, including an action series and the next installment of its psychological drama franchise, Gái Ngàn Đô 3. 

Beyond content recognition, the OTT Platform - Vietnam award acknowledges Galaxy Play’s evolution as a multi-generational entertainment platform. 

In addition to Vietnamese films, theatrical releases, Asian titles, and original series, Galaxy Play has continued expanding its content portfolio to serve audiences across different age groups. A notable milestone is the launch of Galaxy Anime, an exclusive anime offering that brings Crunchyroll’s licensed content library to Vietnam. 

With more than 500 anime titles, over 6,000 hours of content, Vietnamese subtitles, ad-free viewing, and simulcast releases alongside Japan, Galaxy Anime reflects Galaxy Play’s ambition to attract younger audiences while establishing anime as a major new content pillar alongside movies and Vietnamese series. 

From investing in original series to expanding into anime, Galaxy Play is evolving from a movie streaming platform into a broader and more diverse entertainment ecosystem. Its two wins at APB+ 2026 reflect the continued growth and expansion of a Vietnamese OTT platform competing in an increasingly dynamic streaming market.
