Vietnam confirms two Covid-19 deaths, no new infection on Monday morning

Vietnam reported no new Covid-19 infection on Monday while two deaths linked to the virus were confirmed, raising death toll to 13, said the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.

Patient tally remains at 841 including 317 imported patients who were put under quarantine at arrival.

Two patients reported dead diagnosed with Covid-19. Both of the women had underlying heath problems.

Patient 430, a 33-year-old resident of Da Nang had suffered late-stage kidney failure, heart failure, sepsis, and hypertension. She has become the youngest Covid-19 patient to die so far.

She was confirmed to contract the novel coronavirus on July 26. Her health condition began to deteriorate on Sunday.

Patient 737, a 47-year-old woman from Da Nang, had also suffered kidney failure, heart failure and hypertension before she tested positive with the virus on August 4.

So far, Vietnam has reported 13 deaths linked to Covid-19. All suffered underlying health problem including kidney failure, heart failure, cancer, and hypertension.

The country has reported 841 Covid-19 infections so far, 433 of them active.
