Silicon Valley-based company to build $110 mln semiconductor plant in Da Nang

Hayward Quartz Technology, a semiconductor producer in Silicon Valley, has got approval to build a $110-million plant in the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park, according to a posting on Government news website.

The United States Enterprises project, which the second largest FDI project in the city, will start construction for the first phase second quarter this year and put into operation in second quarter of 2023.   

The project has total area 102,200 square meters and more than half of the area of land will be used for the first phase of development which will cost $66 million.

The project was registered by 2 investors Ha Vinh Ly and Nhe Thi Le, who are the owners of Hayward Quartz Technology INC.

In Vietnam, its unit United States Enterprises will produce crystal silicon blocks, assemblies made of silicon, ceramic, quartz, sapphire stone, glass, metal, alloy, nonmetals, plastic polymers and other semiconductor materials for machinery and equipment manufactured in the semiconductor and electronics industries.

Hayward Quartz Technology was founded in 1984, is a leading supplier supporting all major OEM's in the semiconductor business segment. Its modern facilities, located in Fremont, CA, feature over 250,000 square feet of manufacturing space, housing the latest in fabrication, machining, inspection, cleaning, and analytical equipment.

In addition to being an authorized quartz distributor and fabricator to all major raw material manufacturers, the firm produces materials such as Aluminum Oxide, Mono and Poly-crystalline Silicon, Sapphire.
