Japan and Vietnam agree to resume business travel

The leaders agreed to restore the business travel that would allow executives and skilled workers to travel without a 14-day quarantine period, according to information during their first meeting in Hanoi on Monday morning.
The two sides have have agreed to soon restore commercial routes, promote early market opening for fresh Vietnamese longan fruit and Japanese unshu mandarin fruit.
Regarding the cooperation towards the economic recovery from the Covid-19 epidemic, Prime Ministers Yoshihide Suga and Nguyen Xuan Phuc agreed to promote the diversification of the supply chain.
The two sides also affirmed to continue strengthening connections between the two economies, promoting cooperation in investment, trade, agriculture, and human resources.
"I have told Prime Minister Suga that Vietnam is ready to prepare conditions on land, human resources, environment and policies to help Japanese enterprises to invest in Vietnam," said Prime Minister Phuc.
