Vinamilk sees Q3 after-tax profit at $134.2mln, up 16% on year

Vietnam’s largest dairy producer Vinamilk (HoSE: VNM) has reported third quarter after-tax profit at VND3.1 trillion ($134.2 million), company said in a statement.

Total revenue was reported at VND15,561 billion ($674 million), up 8.8% over the same period of last year.

Despite Covid-19 pandemic, the Vietnam's largest dairy producer recorded double-digit growth. The most recent time the company reported double-digit growth was the fourth quarter of 2018 with 32 percent.

Vinamilk reported a profit of VND8,967 billion ($387 million) in nine-month period, up 7 percent year-on-year and completing 84% of the whole year goal.

Revenue was seen to increase by 7.4 percent to VND 45,277 billion ($1.95 billion).

last month, the company closed the right to issue more than 348 million bonus shares to increase its charter capital to VND20,900 billion ($901 million).

VNM share was traded at VND108,000 ($4.67) apiece on Friday, the highest level since the beginning of the year and compared to the price range of VND70,000 ($3) a share at the end of March.
