The tentative launch of the vehicle marks Vietnam’s first large electric bus model and is capable of travelling at speeds of between 220 km and 260 km when fully charged.
Most notably, the design of the eco-friendly bus model largely does not differ from the majority of buses already on the domestic market, with the exterior of the bus featuring a green tone. In terms of charging, providing that a 150 kW charging station is used, it will take at least two hours for the battery to be fully charged.
According to VinFast, some of the technologies that will be used on the electric bus include a control system to monitor the behaviour of the driver, warnings of potential dangers, infotainment screens, security cameras, dash cams, and warning cameras.
Whilst electric cars cannot be considered popular among the domestic market, they do enjoy some advantageous characteristics, such as being environmental friendly and generally running smoothly.
The main factor in their lack of popularity is that electric vehicles are still reliant on their charging stations, with their charging time taking far longer than the fueling of a bus that uses an internal combustion engine.
