Vietnam Airlines flight attendant who flew to Vietnam from London diagnosed with coronavirus

A flight attendant of national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines was tested positive with coronavirus, local media cited Hanoi city’s Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung at Friday meeting.

The flight departed London on March 8 and arrived Noi Bai International Airport on September 9, Chung revealed the information while Ministry of Health has not reported this new case.

Since after March 6, infections in Hanoi has increased to 6 cases, of which there were 3 cases returning from England and 3 cases of cross infection.

The city’s chairman instructed officials to temporarily close bars, karaoke bars, music shows, monuments in the city to conduct disinfection tasks.

In related development, two British nationals (patient No. 22 and 23) who had been hospitalized in Da Nang for treatment were tested negative with the virus, Ministry of Health said.

Vietnam has reported 45 infections so far. Of them 16 recovered and were discharged. Two showed negative results after the initial test.
