Vietnam receives over 11.2 million visitors in 11 months

Over 11.2 million foreigners have visited Vietnam in the last 11 months, which is a 280.2% rise from the same time last year.
Vietnam had more than 1.23 million foreign tourists in November alone, which is 11% more than the previous month and 106.6 % of the same time last year.
With 3.2 million guests, or 28.5%, South Korea was the biggest source market for tourists. China came in second with 1.5 million, then Chinese Taipei with 758,000, the U.S. with 658,000, and Japan with 527,000.
Noticeably, up to 1.25 million foreigners have come to Vietnam since the new visa rules went into effect on August 15. This is 1.6 times more than the same time last year.
People from 13 countries can now stay without a visa for up to 45 days under the new policy. People from the other 12 countries can stay without a visa for 14 to 90 days.
