Former Gcash e-wallet CEO becomes chairman of MoMo

Former CEO of Philippines largest e-wallet GCash has become MoMo’s new chairman, the e-payment firm said, while revealing its "dream team" behind the success of Vietnam’s most-used e-wallet.

Under the leadership of Anthony Thomas, former Director, Retail Banking Sales & Distribution of Citibank, MoMo E-Wallet is ready for the roadmap to become a Vietnamese intellectual Super App, for Vietnamese people and ranked number 1 in Vietnam, the firm said in a statement.

Anthony is an Indian expert in Fintech with in-depth knowledge of the banking and finance industry with over 22 years of experience in finance - banking and payment sectors.

He has 17 years of experience and held many important leadership positions at Citibank's Global Consumer Group in countries including India, the Americas, South Korea and the Philippines.

In 2015, he joined GCash's leadership team to help this e-wallet achieve its strong development in the Philippines.
