Binh Son Refinery targets 2021 after-tax profit at $37.45 mln

Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical, targets $864 billion ($37.45 million) after-tax profit in 2021, parent company PetroVietnam said.

In 2021, BSR continues to research and promote the production of new products with high economic value. The firm plans to produce nearly 6.5 million tonnes of petroleum products, raking in VND70.66 trillion ($3 billion) and contribute nearly VND7.7 trillion ($332 million) to the State budget.

Binh Son Refinery has basically completed most of the targets set for 2020. It operated the Dung Quat oil refinery plant safely and stably.

Its Dung Quat refinery enjoyed stable operation at an average capacity of 105 percent in 2020 as a whole, raking in VND58.28 trillion in revenue and contributing VND5.8 trillion to the State budget. 2020 revenue reached VND58,283 billion ($2.5 billion) and contributed to the State budget VND5,803 billion ($250 million).

BSR’s shares bottomed out in March 2020 but rebounded sharply later. On Friday afternoon, its share price reached VND11,400 ($0.49) apiece on unlisted market.
