Vietnamese brokerage firm Thien Viet Securities (TVS) has led a $2-million funding round in a local artificial intelligence technology startup Namitech.

The startup specializes in the field of AI, with a focus on developing breakthrough products and services related to audio signal processing, speech, biometrics, and natural language.

It was founded by a team of top AI researchers, combined with experienced business professionals from renowned technology companies. This foundation has enabled the company to quickly become a prominent provider capable of competing with major names in the industry worldwide.

NamiTech's primary market includes Vietnam, Japan, and the United States, with many customers in the banking, financial, insurance, retail, and telecommunications sectors.

The tech firm has developed three main products, including VoiceDNA - a voice biometrics solution; NamiSense - a conversation analysis solution; and CrystalSound - a tool for noise reduction and call experience enhancement.

These products are being actively developed to enhance the quality and digitization of audio and speech data, particularly in real-life environments with a lot of noise.

Furthermore, the company has invested in researching and experimenting with large language models in general and ChatGPT in particular for an extended period. This enables it to consult and deploy solutions using various approaches tailored to the objectives, conditions, and budgets of each business.

With the financial resources and strategic support from TVS, NamiTech will continue to strengthen its position in the Vietnamese and international markets, delivering real value to customers.

This will contribute to the sustainable development of the information technology and AI industry and mark an important milestone on the path toward a digital future.

“NamiTech's ultimate goal is to participate in the AI World Cup, to master AI technology, one of the most important technologies of our era, and stand shoulder to shoulder with leading global companies, taking Vietnamese products and intellect worldwide,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, co-founder and CEO of Namitech.

Led by founder Nguyen Thanh Lam and business partners, NamiTech quickly established its presence not only in the Vietnamese market but also expanded globally to Japan, Taiwan (China), and the United States. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, with 15 years of leadership experience at FPT in key roles such as CEO of FPT Japan, CEO of FPT Software, and as the founder of the AI startup incubator at FPT, played a crucial role in this expansion. He also served as the Director of the AI Application Development Department at VinAI, a world-leading AI research institute within VinGroup.

NamiTech is an excellent and passionate team of co-founders who are genuinely committed to a long-term vision for the development of AI voice technology, delivering the highest-quality products, services, and value to businesses, said Ms. Nguyen Khanh Van, Private Equity Director of TVS.

Established in 2006, Thien Viet Securities Joint Stock Company serves as the financial bridge connecting selective investment opportunities in Vietnam with investors both domestically and internationally.

The firm engages in brokerage activities, fund management, proprietary trading, and investment banking services with a specific focus on mergers and acquisitions advisory and equity capital raising.

In the financial technology sector, TVS has partnered with the "unicorn" e-wallet MoMo and the investment platform Finhay from their early days, both of which are pioneering entities that provide intelligent and convenient financial solutions for users.

In the field of educational technology, TVS has invested in the programming school MindX, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for the technology industry. Additionally, in the healthcare sector, TVS has invested in the 315 clinic chain, contributing to the improvement of the quality and convenience of healthcare services in Vietnam.
