Vietnam’s total coronavirus infections hit 113, with 14 newly confirmed cases

The newly confirmed patients are from were identified in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta.
Patient No. 100, a 55-year-old resident of Ho Chi Minh City’s District 8, who returned home from Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia on March 3rd on AsiaAir airline’s flight AK524.
Between March 4th and 17, he visited Jamiul Anwar Mosque in the district five times a day.
Meanwhile, in Mekong Delta’s Dong Thap province, there have been 4 new patients who were passengers on Vietnam Airlines flight VN0050 from the UK to Can Tho on March 18.
Upon arrival, the patients who did not have disease symptoms were sent to isolation area ofDong Thap. They include:
Patient No. 101, a Vietnamese national, aged 26, whose seat was 26F on the flight.
Patient No. 102, a female Vietnamese citizen, aged 9, who was at seat No. 20D on the VN0050 flight.
Patient No. 103, aged 22, lives in Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City. He was also on the same flight to Vietnam from the UK.
Patient No. 104 is a Vietnamese national, aged 33, who lives in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City. She was also from UK.
In Tra Vinh, health officials confirmed two new 2 cases who were on a flight of AirAsia airline AK575 from Malaysia to Can Tho on March 18.
Patient No. 105 is a 35-year-old Vietnamese citizen, who live in An Giang.
Patient No. 106 is also a native of An Giang. The 20-year-old passenger of AirAsia also flew to Vietnam from Malaysia,
Patient No. 107 is a 25-year old female graphic designer living in Thanh Xuan District, Ha Noi.
After patient 86 tested positive for virus, Ha Noi Center for Disease Control took her sample for COVID-19 diagnosis and she was confirmed contracting the virus on March 21.
She is being treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.
Patient No. 108 is a 19-year old male student from Hanoi. He was a passenger on VN054 from the UK to Hanoi on March 18 and was taken to Hoa Binh Hotel for centralized quarantine in Hoan Kiem District.
On March 20, he developed light fever and cough and was transferred to Thanh Nhan Hospital for medical surveillance.
On March 21, he was tested positive for the virus and taken to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.
Patient No. 109 is a 42-old Vietnamese lecturer of a university in UK. He returned home on March 15, 2020, transiting Bangkok. He traveled to Vietnam on TG560 flight.
On March 20, 2020, the patient developed a fever and was isolated and put under treatment at the Hanoi Disease Control Center to Dong Anh Central Tropical Diseases Hospital.
Patient No. 110, aged 19, is Vietnamese citizen living in Dong Da, Hanoi. He is an international student in the US, returning to Vietnam on March 19, 2020. He transited in Japan, then flew to Hanoi on flight JL571.
Entering Vietnam, patient had fever and was transferred to Dong Anh Central Tropical Diseases Hospital for isolation and treatment.
Patient No. 111 is a 25-year-old Vietnamese citizen, who lives in Hai Hau, Nam Dinh province. The patient is an international student in France, returning Vietnam on March 18, 2020 on flight VN018.
Patient No. 112 is a 30-year-old student in France from Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi. On March 18, he returned to on fight VN18.
Patient No. 113 is a 18-year-old student in the U.K., also from Hoan Kiem. She returned to Vietnam on Vietnam Airlines flight VN54 on March 18.
Earlier Sunday, Ministry of Health reported 5 cases of COVID-19 and all of them returned home from abroad.
As of Sunday night, Vietnam has confirmed 113 coronavirus infecred cases, including 96 patients out under treatments. Earlier, 17 other patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
