Vietnam’s reporter among 9 new coronavirus patients, total hits 188

Among the nine new confirmed patients, four had been quarantined upon their arrivals, 3 patients contracting the virus from the community, and two connecting to Bach Mai Hospital.
A reporter in Hanoi, the 183rd patient of coronavirus in Vietnam, was reported to have contracted the virus from patient 148 during an interview on March 12.
While Patients 185 and 188 were said to have contracted the disease from Bach Mai Hospital, where 16 patients had been reported to have a link. Total patients having connection with the hospital have raised to 18 so far.
Patient 185, aged 38, who lives in Hoai Duc, Hanoi, had 8-day treatment at the Neurology Department of Bach Mai Hospital. He was discharged from the hospital on March 19. Five days later, he got cough and was tested.
Patient 188, who is an 44-year-old woman living in My Duc, Hanoi, works for Truong Sinh Company, providing boiling water to Bach Mai Hospital. She had close contact with patient 169.
On March 22, the patient developed cough, sore throat.
Patient 180 is a 27 year old female student from My Duc District, Hanoi.
She was passenger on flight TG564 from France to Viet Nam on March 20.
Patient 181 is a 33-year old man from Hanoi. He returned to Viet Nam on March 20 from Thailand on flight TG564.
Patient 182 is a 19-year old female student from Hanoi.
She flew from Switzerland to Viet Nam on March 20 after transiting in Thailand.
All of the above patients are being treated in Ninh Binh Province with their health have been reportedly in stable conditions.
Patient 184 is a 43-year old woman from Phuc Yen District of the northern province of Vinh Phuc.
She landed in Noi Bai International Airport on March 25 on flight SU290 from Russia.
Patient 186 is a 52-year old French woman who is wife of patient numbered 76. The pair landed in Tan Son Nhat International Airport on March 10.
From March 10-16, the woman traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho, Hoi An and Hue before arriving in Ninh Binh Province where she was tested positive for the virus.
Patient 187 is an American man, aged 30, living in Quang An, Tay Ho, Hanoi.
He landed in Noi Bai International Airport on March 13 on flight VN0054.
He isolated himself at home from March 13-19 and was in close contact with four Vietnamese and five foreigners in the same place of residence.
Recovered raises to 25
In related development, health officials in Ho Chi Minh City discharged four recovered patients from hospital, the health ministry reported late Sunday.
The four patients, who have been put under treatment at the Cu Chi field hospital in the city, tested negative with the virus three times. The newly discharged patients will be quarantined for another 14 days to ensure that they will not spread the virus to the community.
The newly recovered patients include Patient 65, aged 35, who is Vietnamese citizen and was accepted to hospital on March 17. Patient 66 is also a 20-year-old Vietnamese national, who was hospitalized on March 17.
Patient 79, aged 48, who was sent to hospital on March 16 and Patient 90, who a 21-year-old Vietnamese woman, was accepted to the hospital on March 20.
As of Sunday night, Vietnam has reported 188 infections, with 25 recovered patients.
