Vietnam’s Da Nang city reimposes social distancing from July 28

The country which has been back on high alert on pandemic reported 12 other suspected cases, will place the tourism city under social distancing campaign at least 14 days from Tuesday, according to the government’s Directive 19.
The government wants people in the city to maintain a distance of at least one meter from each other and prohibits gatherings of more than 20 people in public, except in offices, schools and hospitals.
During the campaign, the city will stop receiving inbound tourists for 14 days, while all religious, sports and cultural events would be suspended while wearing masks in public places is compulsory.
People travelling to Ha No, Ho Chi Minh City, and other localities from Da Nang will be considered for testing and put under quarantine in case of necessity.
Vietnamese police has cracked down a ring that illegally sent Chinese into Vietnam. Several people including Vietnamese and Chinese nationals who operated the ring or illegally entered the country were arrested.
Preliminary epidemiological investigation showed that four out of five Covid-19 cases confirmed over the past weekend are linked to three hospitals in the city.
The above news was released by experts at the meeting of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control on Monday morning.
These health facilities, as the experts said, are Da Nang Hospital, Da Nang Hospital C, and Da Nang Orthopedic and Physical Rehabilitation Hospital.
Over the past weekend, three residents in Da Nang and one resident in Quang Nam were confirmed positive for Covid-19. They are patients numbered 416, 418, 419, and 420, of whom patient 416 and patient 418 are in severe health conditions as they need ventilators.
