Vietnam’s coronavirus infection tally hits 54, a Latvian national tested positive

The new case was found just a day after the government of Ho Chi Minh City ordered to temporarily close all of entertainment services entire the city in two weeks, a move to limit virus spread.
The 33-year-old Latvian, who arrived in Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc together with his wife, tested positive for the virus and his wife was waiting for result.
The couple took flight TK162 of Turkish Airways from Spain to Ho Chi Minh City on March 8, Ministry of Health said.
They visited Phu Quoc a flight numbered QH1521 of Bamboo Airways and stayed in the La Nube Residence Hotel until March 13. They returned Ho Chi Minh City on flight QH1524 and stayed at hotels on Bui Vien Street in District 1, and District 4.
At around 4pm Saturday, the patient started showing signs of fever and went by himself to the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City.
His wife is put under quarantine. This is the 8th coronavirus patient in Ho Chi Minh City. He is one of 13 foreigners to test positive for the acute pneumonia disease in Vietnam.
