The SBV aims to achieve a credit growth of around 14-15% in 2023, and it will adjust the targets accordingly based on the situation and actual developments.
Some commercial banks have confirmed receiving specific credit limits in this allocation, such as MSB with 13.5%, HDBank with 11%, a decrease from 15% in 2022.
Meanwhile, ACB's credit limit has increased by 9.8%, while VIB's has increased by 9.5%, compared to 10% in 2022.
TPBank has been allocated a credit limit of 9.1%; VPBank and MBB have both received a 9% increase, down from 15% in the previous year, while BIDV is 9.5% (compared to 13.5% in the previous year).
The SBV has requested that commercial banks prioritize credit growth in the production and business sectors and ensure safe and efficient credit operations.
The SBV will regularly monitor and supervise the implementation of credit growth targets for each bank and consider adjusting credit limits in line with the Government's direction and SBV's guidance in Directive No. 01/CT-NHNN.
