Vietnam’s 2022 trade revenue hits $732.5 billion, up 9.5%

The economy reported trade turnover of $732.5 billion in 2022, an increase of 9.5 percent from a year earlier, according to the General Statistics Office.
Vietnam estimated a trade surplus of $11.2 billion. Export revenue is estimated at $371.85 billion, up 10.6 percent, with $276.76 billion coming from the foreign-invested sector.
Thirty-six product categories earned more than $1 billion in export sales, with eight earning more than $10 billion. With a turnover of $109.1 billion, the United States remained Vietnam's biggest export market.
Meanwhile, Vietnam spent $360.65 billion on imports last year, a 10% rise over 2021.
