Vietnamese football hero Doan Nguyen Duc opens coffee company

The Ong Bau Coffee Company, which has been founded by several people, is not a subsidiary of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group.
According to information from the National Business Registration Portal, Ong Bau Coffee Joint Stock Company was established in late November 2019, head quartered in District 4, Ho Chi Minh City.
Doan Hoang Anh, daughter of businessman Doan Nguyen Duc and Vo Quoc Loi, son of businessman Vo Quoc Thang, former chairman of Kienlong Bank and chairman Dong Tam Group, contributed capital to NutiFood to open the company.
The Ong Bau Coffee Company has 3 shareholders. Tran Thi Kim Oanh holds 51% stake while Doan Hoang Anh and Vo Quoc Loi hold 24.5% stake each. According to the business registration information, Oanh could be chairwoman and CEO of the company.
Oanh is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of Phuoc An Coffee Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of NutiFood. Phuoc An Coffee Company has been listed on UPCoM since December 30, 2019.
Having abundant land resource for organic coffee development, Duc and his partners are planning to produce clean coffee and introduce products to the market soon.
This is not the first time Duc announced a new business. For decades, the chairman of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group has shifted between several different industries, from wood, stone, hydroelectricity, real estate to rubber, palm oil trees, corn, cow and recently fruits (bananas, passion fruit, dragon fruit, grapefruit, mango ...), spices. Coffee business is his latest product line.
