On Thursday morning, the total number of infected cases remained at 251, including 156 coming from abroad, and 95 others contracted the disease from community transmission.
So far, half the number of detected patients has been discharged from hospitals.
Among the 125 active patients, 25 have tested negative the first time and 17 others twice, while 83 are still tested positive with the virus, said the health ministry which announced the pandemic entered the third stage in Vietnam with the reporting of community transmissions.
The country is adopting a 15-day social distancing campaign starting from April 1.
