Vietnam reports 9 newly confirmed cases of coronavirus, mostly coming from UK, total hits 85

Among the nine new patients, four live in Hanoi, two in Bac Lieu, one in Kon Tum, two in Ho Chi Minh City, with one in District 5 and another lives in Binh Thanh district.
Remarkably, seven of the newly confirm patients returned Vietnam from the UK, according to the report and all of the patients had been put under quarantine before being confirmed with the virus.
A 25-year old native of Hanoi, who is student in the UK and returned Vietnam on March 17 on flight QR976, became the 77th patient after having test at the Hanoi Centers for Disease Control.
With the positive result, she was sent to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology on March 18. She is in a stable health condition.
Another Vietnamese student in the UK was determined as the 78th coronavirus patient in Vietnam. The 22-year old man, who live in Hanoi’s Bac Tu Liem district, arrived in Noi Bai Airport on March 17 on flight EK394.
Patient No. 79 is 48-year old woman, who also returned Mekong Delta’s Bac Lieu province from the UK.
On March 14, she visited Dubai from London on Emirates airline flight EK4. She then returned to Vietnam on March 15 on flight number EK392.
Upon arrival, she was isolated in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City. The patient had fever, cough and was transferred to Cu Chi Field Hospital on March 16. She was confirmed with the virus on March 18.
Patient No. 80, aged 18, is also a native of Bac Lieu. He is son of patient No. 79. The man who lives with his mother in England for two years returned Vietnam on the same flights.
A 20-year old native of Kon Tum, who returned Vietnam from France on March 14 became the 81st patient. He boarded an AirFrance flight No AF258 and arrived in Vietnam on March 15, 2020. He was tested with the virus while being isolated in a field hospital in District 12.
Patient No. 82 is a resident of Ho Chi Minh City’s District 5, aged 16. On March 14, the patient and her mother traveled to Dubai from London on Emirates airline flight EK30. They returned to Vietnam on March 15 on Emirates airline’s flight No. EK364 number.
A 50-year old US citizen, who lives in Ho Chi Minh City’s Binh Thanh district was the 83rd patient. 14 days prior to entering Vietnam on Turkish Airlines’ flight No. TK162, the patient visited Phuket – Thailand. Upon entry, patient was put under quarantine in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City.
The 84th patient is a 21-year old man, who lives in Dong Da, Hanoi. She is also a student studying in the UK, returning to Noi Bai on March 18 on flight VN0054.
The 85th patient is also a resident of Hanoi and a student in the UK returning home on March 18 on flight VN0054.
Currently, the patient is put under treatment and quarantine at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh. He is in stable health condition.
