Vietnam has discharged 9 out of 16 coronavirus patients from hospitals

Vietnamese doctors discharged two more recovered coronavirus patients from hospital, raising total recovered patients to nine. More patients will be discharged soon, Ministry of Health said.

The two patients infected with coronavirus, one returning from Wuhan city and one having close contact infected patient have been discharged from the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

Pham Van Ch., 29 years old, from Vinh Phuc province, who tested positive for the virus on January 30 after returning Vietnam from Wuhan city has completely recovered.

His health condition turned better three days after being hospitalized. However, test gave positive results on February 7 and February 9. Later, his test showed negative on February 11 and 12.

Another patient - N.T.Y., 55 years old, in Son Loi commune, Binh Xuyen district of Vinh Phuc province, who was found infected with the virus on February 9, is a neighbor of female worker returning from Wuhan.

After receiving treatment at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, her test results on February 12 and 15 gave negative with the virus. Her health condition is good, doctors said.

Beside the nine out of 16 patients discharged from hospitals, several other patients will be discharged from the hospital soon. No more patient has been confirmed with the disease as of Tuesday afternoon.
