Vietnam goes through a month without new local Covid-19 infection

The country has marked a month without new local Covid-19 infected case on Friday morning, according to Ministry of Health.

As of October 2, local health officials confirmed a total of 1,095 cases of Covid-19 patients. Of the detected cases, 1,018 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

The country which has been successful in fight against the virus a second time recorded 35 deaths due to the pandemic. During a Friday meeting with local media, Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung called this a great success. 

The number of infected cases counted from July 25, when the second wave of the outbreak began in Da Nang was 551.

In Hanoi, local local health officials have detected no new cases for 45 consecutive days, according to the city’s Department of Health.

Since the virus was found in the country, 15,013 people who had close contact with infected people were put under quarantine and cured 1,018 Covid-19 patients.
