Vietnam enters 3rd straight day without Covid-19 infection in community

Vietnam recorded no new Covid-19 case in the community Tuesday morning, entering the 3rd straight day the community is free of infection, said the National Steering Committee on Covid-19 Prevention and Control.
The outbreaks in Da Nang and Hai Duong have basically been under control.
As of Tuesday morning, the country has confirmed a total of 690 local Covid-19 infections, including 550 cases linked to the Da Nang outbreak since July 25.
Patient tally remained at 1,044, including 707 recovered, and 34 deaths.
There are currently 55,370 people who had close contact with Covid-19 patients or entering Vietnam from pandemic-hit regions being quarantined, including 908 at hospitals, 16,117 at other facilities, and 38,345 at home.
