Vietnam discharges 27 recovered patients from hospital, total recovered raises to 52

The country has reported 52 people completely recovering from the disease, with additional 27 people exiting hospital on Monday morning, Ministry of Health said.

All of the patients who had been put under treatment and quarantine at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases have completely recovered and have stable health condition, doctor of the hospital said.

The patients have at least 2 to 3 negative tests. Among the new patients released from the hospital is Patient 17, the first coronavirus carrier in Hanoi Nguyen Hong Nhung, who had returned the city from London.

A Hanoi tour guide who was among first coronavirus patient in the city was also  discharged from the hospital after more than three weeks of treatment.

Eight among 27 patients discharged from the hospital are foreign nationals. In Ho Chi Minh City, three other patients are expected to exit hospital soon. 

So far, Vietnam has confirmed 194 infections of the virus, with a total 52 recovered patients have been discharged from hospital.
