Vietnam confirms seven new Covid-19 cases, patient tally rises to 438

The National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control confirmed seven new Covid-19 cases, bringing the nation's patient tally to 438, including 369 recoveries.

All of the new patients, aged between 29 and 71 live in Da Nang city and Quang Nam Province.

One of the patients attended a wedding ceremony at the for You Place Wedding and Convention Center in Hai Chau District, Da Nang City while five others were visitors or medical workers at Da Nang Hospital.

Patient 432 is a 63-year old woman from Dai Loc District, Quang Nam Province.

Patient 433 is a 67-year old woman from Dien Ban District, Quang Nam Province.

Patient 434 is a 71-year old woman living in An Hai Dong Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang City.

Patient 435 is a 29-year old woman living in An Hai Dong Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang City.

Patient 436 is a 66-year old man living in Dien Trung Commune, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province.

Patient 437 is a 61-year old man living in Hoa An Ward, Cam Le District, Da Nang City.

Patient 438 is a 56-year old man living in Tam Thuan Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City.

As of Tuesday evening, Vietnam has a total of 438 cases of COVID-19. Some 15,033 people who had close contact with infected people or entering the country from pandemic-hit areas are put under quarantines.

Among 438 confirmed patient, 369 people have recovered and were discharged from hospitals, accounting for 84.7% of the total number of cases, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
