Vietnam confirms 24 new COVID-19 patients, all returning from Russia

The new patients are among 169 Vietnamese citizens who were repatriated from Russia on May 13. All of the returnees were transferred to military camps in Thai Binh, Quang Ninh and Hai Duong provinces for quarantine.
The returnees are among 340 Vietnamese citizens stranded in Russia who were brought home on a flight from Moscow that landed at Van Don International Airport on Wednesday morning.
They are receiving treatment at the General Hospitals of Thai Binh and Quang Ninh provinces. All were reported with stable health condition.
Infection tally in Vietnam has raised to 312. The country has gone a month without a domestically transmitted infection.
According to report of health officials, the country has put more than 12,000 people under quarantine. All of the people returned from abroad or had close contact with patients.
