Vietnam Airlines' pilot among four latest coronavirus patients, total hits 91

Vietnam has reported four additional coronavirus patients which include a British pilot working for Vietnam Airlines, and three Vietnamese nationals, raising total infection to 91, Health Ministry said.

Of the three locals tested positive with the virus, two live in Ho Chi Minh City and one lives in Hanoi.

Patient No. 88, aged 25, who lives in Hanoi’s Ha Dong district, returned Vietnam from UK where she studies.

Between March 12 to March 16, she conducted self-isolated at home and was tested with the virus after she felt short of breath.

Patient No. 89 is a 22-year-old woman living in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. From New York, the patient traveled to Japan and from Japan before boarding AirJapan’s flight number NH 831 to Tan Son Nhat airport on March 17.

Patient No. 90, a 21-year-old woman, who lives in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. She flew to Barcelona, Spain for a hospitality course.

On March 15, 2020, she flew to Dubai on Emirates Airlines flight EK188 and later arriving at Tan Son Nhat airport on March 16 on the flight of Emirates airline number EK392.

Patient 91 is British national, aged 43, who is a pilot for Vietnam Airlines and live in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. On February 8, he was a passenger traveling from London to Vietnam on a flight of Vietnam Airlines airline VN10.

On March 16, 2020, the patient was a pilot on flight VN272 from Ho Chi Minh - Hanoi and VN607 pm from Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh on the same day. From March 13, 2020 to March 18, 2020, the patient stayed in Ho Chi Minh City and to some places to eat, drink and relax.

He got fever on March 17 and came to Ho Chi Minh Tropical Disease Hospital for health examination and hospitalization.
