The US Department of Commerce unveiled an extension of the deadline for issuing its final conclusion on a trade remedy duty evasion probe that took place into several goods imported from Vietnam.

In particular, May 26, 2023 has been set as the new date for issuing the final determination on the evasion of trade remedy tax on plywood goods made with hardwood components imported from Vietnam.

It also agreed to postpone until August 17, 2023 the release of the complete report on the inquiry into solar panels purchased from Vietnam.

The Trade Remedies Authority advised makers and exporters of certain items to be informed about the cases' progress in order to protect the legitimate interests of businesses.

In order to prevent unfavorable outcomes, businesses must also correctly and completely adhere to the demands of the US investigating agency and carefully collaborate with the authority throughout the case.
