At the same time, the award aims to encourage companies and the public to undertake sustainable development in the most useful and efficient manner.

With increased awareness of systemic problems like climate change, illness risks, resource depletion, and inequity, corporate investors have favored ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investment in recent years.

The Government signed Decision 167/QD-TTg 2022 authorizing the 2022-2025 Program on Support for Private Enterprises in Sustainable Business, recognizing the significance of this issue.

By 2025, participants in this program hope to have an increased understanding of sustainable business practices in the private sector business community, thanks to great efforts to foster and raise awareness and qualifications among cadres and public servants. Consequently, it aims to help around ten thousand businesses grow sustainably.

The decision established data on sustainable development, helping the Government and related social groups set up policies to facilitate companies’ responsible development. It will also help Vietnam meet its 2050 net-zero emission target from COP26. This underscores the need to address climate change through clean energy, sustainable infrastructure, wise water management, and natural resources.

Notably, increased scrutiny from investors, changes in consumer and customer expectations, as well as public policy changes have made ESG standards vital for enterprises. Accordingly, companies must improve and comply with environmental, social, and governance challenges. From then, ESG has become a pillar to help them grow at the highest level of sustainability.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee would also introduce the Nhip Cau Dau Tu Sustainable Development Advisory Council to provide technical support and in-depth advice for Vietnamese enterprises to practice sustainable development. This council includes leaders and experts from HSBC Vietnam, Schneider Electric Vietnam, VinaCapital, UOB Vietnam, FUNiX Online educational institution, Udemy…
