Thai developer to build 1,300ha industrial parks in Thanh Hoa

Thailand’s WHA Industrial Development Group is seeking approval to build two industrial parks in Thanh Hoa province.

The company’s representatives worked with the provincial leaders on building the industrial parks on 1,300 hectares of land, when it has developed the WHA Industrial Zone 1 in Nghe An province.

Among the 2 new projects in Thanh Hoa, one will be built on 800 hectares of land and the other is projected to be built on 539 hectares of land, according to a posting on the provincial government news portal.

The 800-hectare park will be built in the North of Thanh Hoa City while the remainder will be built near the Nghi Son economic zone and Nghi Son oil refinery. Amount of investment of the two projects have not been announced.

This will be a convenient location to attract industry firms related plastics, fibers, rubber, metals, automobiles, biochemistry. Representatives of WHA Group pledged to accelerate the investment progress of 2 projects if the province soon handed over the site.

In Vietnam, WHA has developed WHA Industrial Zone 1 in Nghe An’s Nghi Loc district. This project has a total investment of about VND22,000 billion ($947 million) in a total area of ​​over 3,200 hectares. This is the first industrial park of this group in Vietnam.
