Singaporean and Vietnamese enterprises signed $11 billion deals

The signing ceremony was part of the Vietnam-Singapore Business Dialogue held in Singapore on February 25 as part of President Phuc's three-day State visit to Singapore.
The event attracted the participation of more than 100 businesses operating in harbor, smart urbanization, clean and renewable energy, green and sustainable growth and digital economy.
Addressing the event, Phuc emphasized that Vietnam always creates favorable conditions for the two nations' investors to carry out business activities through making efforts in improving business environment, enhancing publicity and transparency and overcoming obstacles in fields of logistics costs, administrative procedures and human resource.
Vietnam gives priority to luring high-tech and innovative projects which promote digital economy and sustainable development in the country, noted the President, expressing his hope that Singapore will expand Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) model in other localities in Vietnam.
He figured out cooperative orientations for both sides in the upcoming time, including fostering economic connectivity with ASEAN and the region and upholding the effective implementation of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement.
He also suggested Singaporean firms share experience and knowledge on digital transformation with Vietnamese partners.
