Samsung to support Vietnam's tech industry with scholarships

Samsung Group's CEO in Vietnam, Choi Joo Ho, has announced that the company is granting scholarships to talented students in the field of technology, in a bid to lay the foundation for the development of technological talents and the technology industry in Vietnam.
Choi also revealed that Samsung has expanded its R&D center in Tay Ho, Hanoi, with the aim of making it the leading center in Southeast Asia and one of the largest research centers globally.
To support the development of Vietnamese technology talent, Samsung has a plan to offer scholarships to students with outstanding technology majors and increase cooperation between universities and businesses through internship programs.
Samsung has also been working with about 400 Vietnamese companies to enhance competitiveness and improve product quality.
This program has resulted in a 40% increase in productivity and a 50% decrease in product errors.
Moreover, Samsung has trained over 400 local business consultants and has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to build a program for training specialists in the field of mold design and technology.
"We hope to strengthen partnerships with Vietnamese businesses to help local manufacturers develop and become part of Samsung's global value chain," said Choi.
