The Philippine Department of Industry and Trade (DTI) has just released a decision on the assessment of the implementation of an international safeguard investigation on High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pellets, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade
Vietnam is therefore free from safeguard duties since it belongs to the category of developing nations that are not included due to the small number of imports.
After the Philippine Customs Authority issues the order to collect the tax, the safeguard duty will go into force for a period of three years. Following are the rates for the safeguard tax across the years: Php 1,338/MT for the first year, Php 1,271 for the second year, and Php 1,208 for the final year.
