PetroVietnam targets 2020 revenue at $27.6 billion, 13% less than 2019's achievement

PetroVietnam was projected to submit State budget $3.54 billion, according to information at the conference chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung on Monday.
In 2019, the oil and gas firm reported it exceeded whole-year goal for pretax profit by 40 percent to about $1.9 billion on $32 billion revenue, an increase of 17 percent from 2018.
The firm’s contribution to the State budget hit $4.67 billion, beating target by 23.5 percent.
At the meeting, General Director of PetroVietnam Manh Hung said the group faced difficulties in 2019, but it still met all of targets up to 60 days ahead of schedule.
Domestic and overseas oil production were recorded at 11 million and 2 million tonnes respectively while gas exploitation increased more than 10 billion cubic meters.
