Ho Chi Minh City reports no new COVID-19 case in eight consecutive days

Ho Chi Minh City has not reported any new coronavirus case for the eighth consecutive day, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control’s report on Wednesday.
Thirty-five out of the patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals. The city’s health officials stop tracking people related to Buddha Bar & Grill, which involves 19 confirmed patients.
Of the 19 patients, 10 have been discharged from hospitals.
On March 14, the center estimated the virus transmission risk at 51 enterprises. Over 55% of companies having a low-risk level.
Earlier, the city government decided a two-day operation cease to Pouyuen Company, a sports shoemaker, that employs more than 70.000 workers in the city.
City authorities decided to temporarily shut down the company for two days as it fails to meet certain requirements for the prevention of novel coronavirus disease after health inspectors paid two visits to the company to check Covid-19 prevention measures.
