Since several petroleum stations in HCMC reported being out of supply, the municipal Market Management Department dispatched forces to monitor and measure tanks at petrol stations.

The authorities conduct an inspection on a fuel tank to measure and inspect promptly to address the stock situation at:
- Hung Thuan Trading Service Co, Ltd., branch 2 at the address No 2039 National Highway 1A, Tan Hung Thuan Ward, District 12
-  Saigon Fuel Joint Stock Company’s Petrol Station No. 5 at the address 234 Bach Dang, Ward 24, Binh Thanh District

The authorities said there are 550 gasoline retail outlets in the city, 54 of which run out of inventory and are pending refueling.

The shortage of fuel has become a recurring headache for authorities in recent weeks with retailers saying the falling government-fixed retail prices force them to sell at a loss.

The following petrol stations currently have no inventory:

- The petrol station of Binh Phong Phu Trading Co. Ltd. at the address of 86 To Ky Street in Trung My Tay Ward of District 12.

- Station No.17 of Petrol Supplies JSC. at the address of 70 Bach Dang Street in Ward 24 of Binh Thanh District.

- Station No.3 of Petrol Supplies JSC. at the address of 178/9M Dien Bien Phu Street in Ward 21 of Binh Thanh District.

- Station No.1 of Thu Duc Import-Export Trading JSC. at the address of 744 Kha Van Can Street in Linh Dong Ward of Thu Duc City.

- The petrol station of Hieu Phuong Trading – Service – Cargo Transport Co. Ltd. at the address of 53 Hanoi Highway in Thao Dien Ward of Thu Duc City.

- Nhon Hoa Petrol Station of Tan Phu Trading – Service – Transport Co. Ltd. at the address of 520 National Way No.13 in Hiep Binh Phuoc Ward of Thu Duc City.

The Market Management Department of HCMC has instructed them to step up their oversight and fully understand the operational circumstances of the local petrol stations. If there is any evidence of business violations, the stockpiling or selling of drips must be stopped immediately and treated in line with the rules.

The has dispatched 80 fuel trucks to supply gas stations amid widespread complaints of lack of stocks.
