H&M to open 8th Vietnamese store a week ahead of Uniqlo debut

Renowned international fast-fashion brand Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) is set to open its eighth store in Vietnam on November 28.

Despite recent participation of several international fashion brands, H&M plans to open its first store in Da Nang city, marking the eighth H&M store in Vietnam, one of the promising fashion market in Southeast Asia.

Located at Vincom Plaza Ngo Quyen, the new store covers an area of over 1,600 square meters. The firm’s expansion in Vietnam proves the important role of the market which has majority of young population.

Customers will find the latest H&M items, including outfits, shoes, and accessories for women, men and children with affordable prices.

“We are heartened by the warm reception from fans in Vietnam since opening our first store in Ho Chi Minh City back in 2017,” Fredrik Famm, Country Manager, H&M Southeast Asia said by statement.

Since after the first H&M debut in Vietnam in 2017, the firm currently owns three stores in Hanoi and four stores in Ho Chi Minh City.

The first is located in Vincom Center Dong Khoi in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, with the 2,000-square-meter flagship store spanning two floors.

All of the stores have been achieving revenue growth that exceeded expectations.

International brand names have attracted the attention of Ho Chi Minh City fashion lovers, clearing the way for more to arrive in the country.

More than 50 well-known brand names are now in the city, such as Giordano, Mango, Zara, Topshop, Gap, and Old Navy. Others, including Pull&Bear, Uniqlo, and F21, have been arriving.
