Domestic gasoline prices hit a new peak Tuesday after authorities decided to rise the prices for the sixth time in a row.

The price of popular gasoline RON 95 rose to VND26,830, while biofuel E5 RON 92 rose to VND26,070, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Prices of oil commodities have also increased. Kerosene has been adjusted upwards to VND19,970 per liter, an increase of VND470. Diesel oil is now at VND21,310 per liter, up VND510.

Compared with the end of December last year, a liter of RON95 gasoline is VND4,030 more expensive. A liter of E5 RON92 is VND3,990 more expensive; diesel is VND3,980 more expensive.

The world market continues to be complicated, especially the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and the petroleum supply is affected due to the increased demand in countries implementing economic recovery measures.
