Eight Bach Mai Hospital-linked Covid-19 patients among nine new cases, total rises to 203

The Ministry of Health has confirmed 9 more COVID-19 infection cases, including 7 cases linked to Bach Mai Hospital, bringing the total to 203.

Patient numbered 195, 196, 198 and 199, 200, 201, 202 are all employees of Truong Sinh Company which provides food and logistics services to Ha Noi’ Bach Mai Hospital.

With these new patients, there have been 22 cases having connections with this company, raising total infections linked to Bach Mai Hospital to 33. 

Patient 196 is a 41-year old man from Thanh Oai District, Ha Noi.

On March 12, he went to the Center for Tropical Diseases of the Bach Mai Hospital for medical check.

All of the above patients are being treated at the Central for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh’s Ha Noi with their health reportedly in stable conditions.

Patient 203 is a 35-year Vietnamese old woman who returned home from Greece on March 17 after transiting in Turrkey.

She did not have the disease symptoms upon her arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. He was taken to a centralized quarantine facility in Nha Be District.

Of the total infection cases confirmed in Viet Nam so far, 55 have recovered and exited hospitals while the rest are being treated at 22 medical facilities across Viet Nam.

The Bach Mai Hospital has emerged to become the biggest COVID-19 cluster in Viet Nam with 22 cases announced over the past days.
