All of Vietnam's coronavirus patients have recovered, Health Ministry say

Under treatment method of Vietnamese doctors, all of 16 people found infected with a new coronavirus in Vietnam have been cured, the Ministry of Health said in a report on Tuesday.

Of the 16 patients, two people are Chinese nationals, six are workers who returned from Wuhan city, China, six had close contact with infected patients, one American arriving to Vietnam after transiting in Wuhan city, and a 3-month-old baby who had close contact with patient.

Eleven patients were found in Vinh Phuc province while other three were found in Ho Chi Minh City. Khanh Hoa and Thanh Hoa have a patient each.

The latest recovered patient was a 50-year-old man who contracted the disease from his daughter who returned from Wuhan city, where the first infected and death were reported.

His health condition has recovered and is in good condition. Health condition of the three-month-old baby are improving, the ministry said.

So far, no new case have been recorded since February 13.

The Ministry of Health has suggested local governments of provinces and cities to quarantine people returning from South Korea, where the epidemic is emerging with 893 infected cases as of Tuesday afternoon.

All of incoming travelers from South Korea shall have to fulfill compulsory health declaration form upon arrival at all border gates, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long announced Monday.

This is Vietnam's latest move in a bid to contain the spread of the virus that has claimed more than 2,699 people around the world and 80,150 others contracted the deadly virus around the world as of February 25.

There are more than 5,000 Vietnamese migrant workers in South Korea, including 1,000 in Daegu city and 3,000 Gyeongbuk province, the Labor Management Board of Vietnam in South Korea said.
