Join CHIN-SU on a tour to visit pho festival in Van Cu village, Nam Dinh

On December 9, 2022, CHIN-SU accompanied in impressive and meaningful traditional activities at pho festival held in Van Cu village, Nam Dinh.

In addition to serving pho, the event featured Vietnamese folksongs (ca tru, xam), water puppetry; activities of chefs' clubs specializing in pho; recreated the scene of making a traditional dishes (pork sausages, spring rolls...) and work scenes about cooking pho.

As an integral part of the festival, the experience area that recreates the traditional way of cooking pho and the traditional sausage-making area attracts a large number of villagers and visitors. Ms. Vu Thi Nhung, 79 years old (village 9, Van Cu) shared: "Normally, the village only organizes a festival once every 5 years, but today's CHIN-SU festival is the biggest festival ever. Many villagers who work far away has returned a few days ago to join the event. I am very excited because it has been a long time since I have lived in the festive atmosphere.”

CHIN-SU chili sauce is made from pureed fresh chili and traditional fermentation techniques, helping to sublimate the taste buds in three levels of flavor. Putting a little chili sauce into bowl of pho, mix it with the broth will make the dish has extremely attractive color. The aroma of pho and the smell of fermented sour from chili sauce play as an appetizer "transmitter" which stimulates the taste buds. The rich broth bursts with a warm spicy taste and spreads lightly. In addition to complimenting pho, CHIN-SU's chili sauce is also very suitable with noodles, vermicelli, grilled squid or when making sauces.

Mr. Nguyen Khanh, artisan of the Nam Dinh Culinary Culture Association said: "This is a very meaningful activity of the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association in general and the Nam Dinh Culinary Culture Association in particular. These activities contribute to developing the local tourism economy, honoring artisans and chefs, preserving and promoting the value of pho culinary culture of the craft village. I hope that this will become an annual activity together with the CHIN-SU.”

Within the framework of the festival activities, in the afternoon of December 9, at the temple of Van Cu village, the Van Cu traditional pho branch was also officially launched. The launch expresses respect for the long-standing traditional values. At the event, CHIN-SU gave meaningful gifts to the members of the Association and honored 5 folk artisans whose their families have been making pho for 3 generations and above.

After the tour to visit pho village on December 9, Day of Pho (organized by Tuoi Tre) and many interesting activities continued to take place from December 10 to December 12, 2022. In addition to the opportunity to enjoy authentic Nam Dinh pho made by artisans, guests and people also enjoy many variations of pho from different regions in the country, such as: pho H'mong, Sam Ngoc Linh pho, Southern pho... But regardless of the region's pho flavor, the contestants did not forget to guide diners to enjoy a bowl of hot, smoky pho, adding chili sauce. CHIN-SU bursts with pho flavor, immediately waking up with an attractive sour taste. The rich broth, blended with the spicy aroma to stimulate the taste buds, makes pho irresistible.
