Vietnam's Jan.-July trade revenue reaches $431 billion

Vietnam's total import and export turnover for the first seven months of 2022 reached $431.95 billion, up 14.8%, equivalent to $55.79 billion, the General Department of Customs reported.
In July 2022, Vietnam's overall export and import turnover were projected at $60.62 billion in July 2022, a 6.8% decrease from the prior month (equivalent to $4.45 billion).
The export value was assessed at $30.32 billion, down 7.7% (equivalent to $2.52 billion) and the import value was estimated at $30.3 billion, down 6% (corresponding to a decrease of $1.93 billion).
The total import and export turnover of the whole country in the first seven months of 2022 was estimated at $431.95 billion, up 14.8%, equivalent to an increase of $55.79 billion in absolute terms over the same period.
Exports and imports were estimated at $216.36 billion, up 16.1% (equivalent to $29.93 billion) and imports were estimated at $215.59 billion, up 13.6% (equivalent to $25.86 billion).
Thus, in July, the country had a trade surplus of $21 million. By the end of July 2022, the country's trade surplus was estimated at $763.5 million.
