Phones and components exports to the US market jumps by 53.7%.

Vietnam exported $13.9 billion of phones and components to the US market in the first 6 months of 2022, according to the General Department of Customs.

In June, exports of phones and components reached $4.39 billion, an increase of 6.5 percent from May. This item's turnover during the first month of the year was $29.17 billion, a 16.4% increase over the same time in 2021.

In the previous six months, Vietnam's top export destinations for phones and component products have been the US, China, EU, and South Korea.

Accordingly, the export turnover of phones and components to the US market reached $6.61 billion, up 53.7% year-on-year; followed by the Chinese market with a turnover of $6.45 billion, up 16.6%; the Korean market ranked fourth, reaching $2.78 billion, up 29.8%. Meanwhile, export turnover to the third largest market, the EU, decreased by 7.7%, reaching only $3.2 billion.

With the group of computers, electronic products, and components, the export turnover in June reached $5.17 billion, up 6.5% compared to May. Accumulated in 6 months reached $27.68 billion, up 15 .6% from the year earlier.

The US continues to be the largest export market of computers, electronic products, and components, reaching $7.32 billion, up 26.9% compared to the first 6 months of 2021.

The Chinese market ranked second, reaching $5.89 billion, up 12.1%; the EU market (27 countries) ranked third, reaching $3.73 billion, up 18.5%. Followed by Hong Kong (China) market reached $2.88 billion, up 1.3%; the Korean market reached $1.79 billion, down 5.1%.
