VienthongA retail chain acquired by Vingroup in 2018 to enhance sale of electronic products and home-made technologies is believed to have it brand changed to Vinpro.

Website and fanpage of VienthongA Company has recently been officially transformed into Vinpro. The brand has been removed from the market.

This situation has happened several times during acquisitions between enterprises in the same industry.

It is believed that having two brands at the same time will be costly for businesses in marketing and customer services.

End of 2018, Vingroup acquired nearly 65% of VienthongA's shares. VienthongA is known as one of the leading retailer of mobile phone and electronic products with nearly 200 stores nationwide.

Vien Thong A is the most veteran technology retailer in Ho Chi Minh City, operating for 22years before being fully acquired by Vingroup a year ago.

Since early 2019, VienthongA has undergone changes. The retail chain closed ineffective stores and converted into Vsmart's customer service centers.

VinPro has opened a several stores to reach customers. As of the third quarter of this year, VinPro has 246 stores nationwide.

VinPro's retail outlet system has an important task of distributing VinSmart phones, especially when newly-inaugurated Vsmart factory has capacity of 23 million phones per year.

Vsmart is expected to launch 10 new phone models in 2019.
