VinFast raises $368 million in corporate bonds

VinFast, an arm of Vietnamese largest private conglomerate Vingroup, has raised VND8,800 billion ($368 million) of corporate bonds since early 2022, according to the Hanoi Stock Exchange.

Vinfast, a producer of electric vehicles, has issued 3,000 bonds with a par value of VND100 million ($4,100) each and a duration of 36 months, raising VND300 billion ($12.5 million)

This bond lot has an issuance date of September 26, and it expires on September 26, 2025. The domestic market is where the full bond batch is sold. However, details on the bond lot's bondholders, interest rates, and collateral weren't made public.

In terms of issue, VinFast is permitted to repurchase a portion or the entirety of the outstanding bonds by delivering a notice of the offer to buy to the bondholder at least 15 working days before the acquisition date with the same criteria and terms of the offer.

According to data on the exchange, VinFast has declared the successful issuance of 7 bonds with a duration of 3 years with the newly issued bond batch from the start of the year to the present VinFast has been successful in raising VND8,800 billion ($368 million) with these 7 bond issuances.
