Vietnam’s football hero buys another aircraft worth $1.3 mln: VietnamNet

The Thrush 510P aircraft has been imported to Vietnam following an order of HAGL Group's chairman Doan Nguyen Duc.

The new aircraft of Vietnamese businessman Doan Nguyen Duc will be used in his HAGL Agrico’s farm in Cambodia's Rattanakiri province.

Upon arrival in Rattanakiri, the aircraft will be assembled by technical team from the US in November. This agricultural aircraft is expected to be an effective equipment for the company’s banana, dragon fruit, mango and coconut farm.

The first agricultural aircraft in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia will be used for spraying pesticides for about 1,000 hectares of farm. Currently, the company spray the chemical manually. One person can spray only one hectare a day.

In 2015, Duc bought a Legacy 600 aircraft at $27 million. The then second richest man in Vietnam used the jet for his business trip.Thrush 510P is an agricultural aircraft developed by Pratt & Whitney, a US company specializing in manufacturing civil and military aircraft engines based in East Hartford, Connecticut.

Duc splashed out about $7 million on a Beechcraft King Air 350, imported from the US, in 2008 and said he also used the turboprop for business trips. Later, he sold the aircraft to Vietstar Airlines.
