Vietnamese startup Onaclover Technology JSC, which operates fitness and beauty platform WeFit announced bankruptcy on Monday, saying in a statement that it does not have ability to pay the debts.

Wefit - the pioneer in the fitness industry and was dubbed as “Uber of fitness sector in Vietnam” has filed bankruptcy documents to the Hanoi People’s Court since it ran out of capital and it is forced to shutdown from May 11.

The company’s exhausted situation came after the business crisis from coronavirus since the beginning of 2020, despite its efforts to restructure the business, the company said.

Accordingly, all WeWow’s products include WeFit, WeFit Point, WeJoy will be suspended from May 11, 2020. WeWow is a mobile application of Onaclover Technology that was officially launched from July 2019.

Wefit was founded by Khoi Nguyen in September 2016, with the goal of becoming a leading brand in the Fitness industry in Vietnam. Among Vietnamese startups, Nguyen Khoi with WeFit is considered a pioneer in bringing technology into the field of healthy and fitness.
